Located in Frankfort, Illinois, SpeechEase, PLLC is a boutique-style practice specializing in speech sound disorders. SpeechEase, PLLC provides high quality, individualized treatment for children with speech and language challenges in a warm and welcoming environment. Our therapist works with your family to identify areas of need and develop goals to help your child improve his/ her communication skills.

Kendra D. Sherry DeMarco MA, CCC-SLP/L

OWNER & FOUNDER

Kendra D. Sherry DeMarco is a licensed and certified speech and language pathologist with 17+ years of experience working in a variety of therapy settings; Early Intervention clinic, home-based therapy, public schools and in private practice. She has a passion for speech sound disorders and motor speech disorders such as Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

Kendra's experience and areas of interest include:

  • Childhood Apraxia of Speech*

  • velopharyngeal insufficiency

  • language delays and disorders

  • stuttering

Training:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education, Miami University, Oxford, OH

  • Master of Arts degree in Speech & Language Pathology, Northwestern University, Evanston, IL

  • Advanced training in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets)

  • Advanced training in Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC)

  • Kaufman Speech Praxis treatment approach

  • Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS)

*Kendra is a recognized Speech-Language Pathologist in the Apraxia-Kids Directory and in the Child Apraxia Treatment Directory for the Once Upon A Time Foundation- vetted for expertise in Childhood Apraxia of Speech.
